[Additional comment for the reupload]
This is a mirror of the builds of the unreleased game RIQA on Nintendo 64 by Bits Studio, from Ten Shu, a developer who used to work at the studio behind the game and several other unreleased Nintendo 64 titles.
I added a fix for one of the builds that was malformed and couldn't work as is. I couldn't fix the earliest build of the pack.
I'm giving you the original uploaded files as is.
The ROMs work on Project64 3.0.1 and on flashcart except for riqa-a_14_02_2000.n64.
Update: Tenshu uploaded a video on how to run the ROMs here:
2024-04-10 Update:
Thanks to Zoinkity (see the review), I added a no debug print version of the earliest ROM named "riqa-a_14_02_2000_nodebugprint".
[Word from Ten Shu, the original uploader of these builds and ex-developer of Bits Studio]
Hi,
From 97 to 2001 I worked at a company called Bits Studio.
This company made a lot of unrelease N64 games. (most of those game will end up becoming gamecube/ps2 games few years later)
Few years ago I ve released the unfinished DieHard64 Roms
I think its time people got a test of the Riqa another unreleased game for the n64.
I ve uploaded the 4 last build in a zip files you can all download and try.
The game work in some emulator. it also work on a N64 with an everdrive. I have lot more build of the game but i figured those 4 are probably the most interesting.
One important thing. you need to have 2 controller to play the game. controller 2 is used to open the menu and select a level.
The 4 build in the rar files are the last build made of the game for the n64 before it get cancelled and the team reassigned to Diehard and Thieveworld(RogueOps).
There not much of a completed game here, but there level you can visit, sometime enemies you can kill and button you can press, cut scene and stuff like that. each build as different stage you can explore.
enjoy
Tenshu.

I couldn’t find a way to contact you anywhere else, so I’d ask this here. But, could you please rip all of the Mario Artist: Talent Studio SoundFonts
...
for me and link me to them please? I have a Mac, so I can’t use N64 SoundBank Tool.
Thank you so much,
Makarthenut

Subject: Thanks for the rom fix but Im very disappointed about your news
Long time no see Luigi Blood! I still appreciate you for fixing the game to work on emulator! I wonder why Mr Shu wouldn't bother to fix it himself in
...
the first place before he present the prototypes with us?! How embarrassing for his part to share a very sacred of lost gaming history! Anyway, you're a hero for fixing the gmae but Im still very disappointed to hear about you quit serving us anymore prototype games! This should be considered terrible news but least you did something useful for a change to help make us play the game on project 64! Thanks again and really wish you can find more N64 prototypes for us instead of giving up what you are doing. :(

Subject: About riqafinal1_28_05_2000.n64 and Running the Alpha
riqafinal1_28_05_2000.n64 is invention. At some point somebody copied a 6102 BE bootstrap into a LE copy of riqafinal1_24_03_2000.n64, likely to make
...
it "emulator compatible". Otherwise, the game's data is identical to riqafinal1_24_03_2000.n64.
The alpha jams up trying to print debug messages. 800CBC14 never finishes printing the full length of the string. 800CBB68 selects between the RDB or Partner printer based on the value of 8011E870. There's a few different workarounds: change the pointer to the print function at 800CBBA8, stubbing 800CBB68 , or *do like the Mario Artist Paint Studio proto* and change the branch to skip printing: 800CBB93/0xCC793 = 0B.

I can't not give 5* because of how much I love prototypes seeing the light of day.
I played this on an actual N64 using my old ED64 2.x cart. It gives ... a bad CRC error but does run, the game crashed a few times especially when I was using the quick select for weapons but when I went through the start menu it worked fine.
Big Jet Force Gemini vibes from this with all the awful late 90s control jank that comes with it.
